COMPASSIONATE IN HOME CARE
Silver Companions provides that helping hand to maintain your independence, dignity, and daily routine.
Caring for an aging loved one can be extremely stressful and tiring. Most people also have the demands of their everyday life. Silver Companions can help to manage the daily activities for your loved one and keep an open line of communication between clients, families, and caregivers.
Silver Companions offers many different services that are individually tailored to meet each of our client’s specific needs. We start by getting to know you and learning what you expect and need from a caregiver. We then work with you and our Registered Nurse to design a personalized care plan of how best to meet your needs. Then, we hand select a qualified caregiver that will be personally introduced to you. Our care coordinator will keep in continuous contact with you to make sure that you are satisfied. Whether a one time or recurring visit, we will be there for you and you can feel secure knowing that you will have the same caregiver on most visits, which helps assure familiarity, continuity and consistency.
Silver Companions gives you the opportunity to continue living independently in the comfort of your home or familiar surroundings. By providing caring senior assistance, we can help you to remain at home and to avoid moving into a nursing home.

Testimonials
I am so incredibly awed at our fortune to have you be a part of our family and our lives. You are angels. I can’t imagine any better fit than ya’ll have been.
Brian, your passion for your business is inspiring and admirable. I don’t know what we would do without you.
We love Angie. I won’t have anyone else. She really cares about me.
Since I lost my husband, Silver Companions helps me so much by doing the things that [my husband] used to take charge of. They also give me the friendship, love and support that I need. It’s an outstanding service!
Thank you for the profession you have chosen. I don’t know what I would do without you. You have made things so easy for me to start living again. You are my friend, my confidant, my driver, my caretaker, my reason to get up every day! I don’t know what I would do without you.
My whole family wants to thank you for the compassion you have shown my Mother and Father over the last 2-3 years. You, Leslie, and everyone I met from your company played an important role in making the past years of our Dad’s life happier. Your service in helping us care for Mom after Dad’s passing has been above and beyond
Your caregiver was great! This was the first time for us using a home care service and she made us feel comfortable. The caregiver looks out for me, not herself
There are not any adequate words to tell you what the wonderful staff you sent us has meant to me. I am grateful for your wonderful people and for your personal attention and care for us. Charles had excellent care for every minute he was here, in the hospital, and at hospice. I owe them and you more than money can repay.
I live in a Senior Living Community and I lost my Driver’s License! Harry takes me out to do things my own way and on my own schedule. No need to bother friends or family! They drive me and remind me of the things I need to do!
Silver Companions allows me to make my own schedule, on my own time. I don’t have to be concerned with the pre-determined schedule established by my [senior living] community. I feel free.
Leslie and her team have taken excellent care of my mother. They take her out to lunch, for drives, the park, fun activities, Dr. Appointments, etc. If she needs Kleenex or something breaks, Silver Companions takes care of it. They often go way above and beyond of what I expect. Leslie hires great people who are in tune with the elderly.
I wouldn't have anyone else help me. I love my caregiver and she is a huge help. Brenda a big part of my life
When a loved one is on hospice, every moment matters—and where they spend that time matters just as much. Hospice provides incredible medical support, comfort care, and guidance during one of life’s most delicate seasons. But what many families don’t realize is that hospice doesn’t cover around-the-clock, hands-on care. That’s where in-home care makes all the difference. Pairing home care with hospice means your loved one gets the best of both worlds: * Comfort and dignity in their own home * One-on-one attention and companionship * Help with bathing, dressing, meals, and daily routines * Extra support so family members can rest and just be present At Silver Companions, we walk alongside hospice—not replace it. Our caregivers fill in the gaps, making sure your loved one is never alone and always cared for with compassion, respect, and kindness. Because this isn’t just about care… it’s about creating a peaceful, supported environment where families can focus on love, connection, and meaningful moments. If your family is navigating hospice care, you don’t have to do it alone. Give us a call at (678) 494-8129 and let Silver Companions help you bring comfort home.
Choosing care for a loved one is one of the hardest—and most important—decisions a family can make. Understanding the difference between staying at home with support versus moving into a skilled nursing facility can help you make the choice that feels right for your situation. Staying Home with Home Care Home care allows your loved one to remain in the place they know and love most—their home. This option provides: * Comfort, familiarity, and independence * One-on-one personalized attention * Flexibility in scheduling and level of care * Emotional well-being from staying in a familiar environment * Continued connection to family, neighbors, and routines Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) A skilled nursing facility can be the right choice for individuals who need: * 24/7 medical supervision * Advanced clinical care and rehabilitation services * Structured care plans managed by medical professionals However, it often comes with shared spaces, less individualized attention, and the emotional challenge of leaving home behind. Why Families Choose Silver Companions At Silver Companions, we believe that home is more than a place—it’s where dignity, comfort, and quality of life thrive. Our compassionate caregivers provide non-medical support tailored to your loved one’s needs, helping them stay safe and independent at home for as long as possible. From companionship and personal care to daily living assistance, we’re here to support not just our clients—but their families too. Because when care is needed, home is still where the heart is. If you’ve been wondering what the best option is for your loved one, let’s talk. Silver Companions is here to help you navigate the journey—every step of the way. Give us a call at (678) 494-8129 to get started!
When someone you love starts to need a little extra help, one of the hardest decisions is how to support them while still honoring their independence and dignity. That’s where home care comes in. Home care allows your loved one to stay in the place they know best—their home—while receiving the support they need to stay safe, comfortable, and confident in their daily life. From help with bathing and meals to companionship and medication reminders, it’s not just about assistance…it’s about preserving quality of life. Here’s why so many families are choosing home care: Comfort & Familiarity – There’s no place like home. Being surrounded by familiar spaces and memories can reduce stress and improve emotional well-being. Personalized Care – One-on-one attention tailored to your loved one’s specific needs and routines. Independence – Support without sacrificing freedom. Your loved one can continue living life on their terms. Peace of Mind – Families can rest easier knowing someone compassionate and trained is there when they can’t be. Companionship – Sometimes the most important care is simply having someone there to talk to, laugh with, and share the day. Choosing home care isn’t about giving up control—it’s about gaining support in a way that feels natural, respectful, and loving. If your family is starting to have these conversations, you’re not alone. There are options that allow your loved ones to thrive right where they are. Because at the end of the day, care should feel like home. Give us a call at (678) 494-8129 and let’s start the conversation!
Thanks so much to Sunabella for hosting the informative health fair. We had such a nice time with the referral partners who came, strengthening relationships and collaboration. Also, we always love hanging and joking with the residents. We even got to help hand the prizes to the winners of the raffle prizes to add to the fun! See everyone again soon!

SMP National Resource Center warns that scammers are targeting assisted living facilities and nursing home residents and signing them up for hospice, even though their life expectancy exceeds six months. This is dangerous because if you are enrolled in hospice, you 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞, like cancer treatments, surgeries, or even some medications.
What a fun day at the 3rd Annual Senior Easter Egg Hunt! There were 60 Seniors from 2 local Senior Centers in attendance and tons of prizes to be had for all! The top 3 winners of the Easter Bonnet contest won a special prize! The food from Family Tradition was delicious and enjoyed by everyone! Overall, a great way to bring people together and have some fun on a beautiful Good Friday! The DJ kept everyone hopping all day long. There was even a caricature artist there for some added fun! Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Easter!
At the Morning INfluence early Friday, we heard from Chris Luly, the Capital Improvement plan administrator. He updated attendees on the "BIG 5" Trails, Interchanges, Plazas, New Roadways and Existing Roadways. Very Informative presentation which emphasized how Woodstock is investing in mobility. Sadly we also said goodbye to one of our INwdstk board members, Ashley Velez who will be moving to Italy. Thank you for everything you did for the local community and your mentorship to others. You will be greatly missed. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
It was a pleasure attending the SUFS Lunch and Learn! We appreciate Samantha, Kara, and the rest of the team at Cedarhurst of Canton for the delicious lunch and to Jennifer Ghorley w Hurley Elder Care Law for providing crucial information on the difference between competency and capacity, and acknowledge the efforts of all who supported this event.

Love our City of Woodstock, GA! Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell delivered his 2026 State of the City Address on Friday morning in front of 300+ attendees, highlighting significant accomplishments and presenting a bold roadmap for the city's future growth. During the address to city officials, stakeholders, and community members, Mayor Caldwell proclaimed the city's current state as 'stronger, safer, and better off than it was four years ago,' reinforcing the city's core objective: 'We are building a city that feels like home.'
Love our awesome community!
IN WDSTK presented a check to the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation, for the "Shop with a Hero" initiative. Funded by the JINgle MINgle proceeds, this generosity positively impacted the Christmas of 33 local families ($5000/$150 per shopper), earning appreciation for all involved. Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this fun yet impactful initiative, showcasing the power of collaborative community efforts.
Exciting news for 2026! If you want to stay safely at home, we can give you the support you need, part-time or full-time care all the way up to 24/7. Thinking about making a move to a local Assisted Living community? We can help with that, too, through our partnership with Senior Placement Experts. Give us a call to find out more. It’s Christmas and the magic of the season is all around us! Wishing you a holiday filled with love, joy, and cherished moments. Merry Christmas!!
Gingerbread Alley was a festive way to celebrate with some of our favorite residents! Not only did we have a DJ to add to the festivities, there were lots of delicious snacks, tasty treats, eggnog, cold signature drinks and great company! Although our entry didn't win, we had a great time participating and celebrating with everyone! Congrats to all the winners! All donations collected went to support the Walking Club Charity. Thank you Benton House of Woodstock for hosting this great annual holiday celebration! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
We extend our gratitude to the Cherokee County Senior Services team in Canton, GA, for inviting us to participate in their annual holiday celebration. It was a pleasure to unite with friends, colleagues, and family on this special occasion. The Moose Lodge Family Center provides a warm atmosphere and everyone there ate very well! Loved just hanging out and having fun with you all! We were honored to host esteemed guests, including Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds and his team, as well as Santa Claus and his assistants. Special thanks to Raquel with Insiders to Aging for your organization of this annual event and for singing and entertaining everyone there. We cherish sharing the holiday spirit with our CCSS family and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
The Jingle Mingle 2025 event proved to be an outstanding success. We had a fantastic time with a remarkable community of people who genuinely comprehend the value of community service. Together, we made it possible for over 100 children to receive Christmas through the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation's "Shop with a Hero" program. A generous individual matched the funds collected in the boot, and we are extremely proud of everyone involved. Reformation Brewery - Woodstock deserves special recognition for hosting the event. See you all again next year!
Participating in the Cobb Cherokee Services for the Elderly meeting enabled us to engage with fellow Senior Living advocates and reconnect with others. The overarching aim is to have a lasting impact on Senior Care. These meetings are typically once a month at a local community in Cobb or Cherokee County.
